Wild sea turtles and mountain goats, pomegranate trees and the aquamarine coasts of the Ionian Sea- here’s my visual travel diary of Kefalonia. What an amazing island! It’s only about 2-3 hours by ferry from Zakynthos, but it’s so different. It had the atmosphere that I imagined Greece having before coming. I think it’s because it has more wild and dramatic nature and fewer tourists than Zakynthos. I liked the main town, Argostoli, and Myrtos beach is the most beautiful beach I’ve ever been to. I swam and floated for hours and I couldn’t believe the transparency and vibrancy of the water.
